Most of my peers (i will say peers because am much older than hem , most people don't realize am thirty (30) this year. Yeah i know) wonder where i get the drive to be this super hyperactive human dynamo that jumps from one end to another. Secret#1: i do what i want. No seriously i do what i want when i want and how i want. My passions are four in life: computers, cooking, cash and cars. However, my hobbies and interest are limitless -- entrepreneurship, worshiping, gardening, reading, traveling, researching, debating, networking, meditating, writing, blogging - the list is ENDLESS. Therefore i decide what will make me happy or improve myself and presto I get onto it.Secret #2: Focus: when I have a task or confronted by something I involve myself TOTALLY. I literally get immersed do that task with all my ability. Good example is the ability to learn something like coding and scripting, or being in a relationship with a very wonderful and loving and giving and adorable Best Half - Teddy MABABE Loeto. Even if i dont complete the task I know that i am focused intently on getting it done. However my shortfall is given the benefit of education I could have done much better in my studies
Secret#4: Mantras: yes it sounds a bit Kabbalistic or Eastern Mystical, it is really. The mantras are just repetitions that you include in your life, it could be meditation, virtues or rituals that you incorporate in your life.
My mantras are mainly influenced by the books I read or articles and blogs I follow. Two influential personas in my life currently are Robin Sharma & Paulo Coelho. Having said that i picked up seven important virtues from 'The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari' . Here goes:
1.Master Your Mind
2.Follow Your Purpose
3.Practise KAIZEN (continous self improvement through meditation, solitude, exercise, READING, eating properly, simplicity, waking up early)
4. Live With Discipline
5. Respect Your Time
6. Selflessly Serve Others
7. Embrace The Present
NB: These are originally Robin Sharma. Its not something I came up with.
So in a nutshell, its all up to you and what you want out of life and following such to make sure you achieve in life. REMEMBER: Money, power & fame are not the ends to the means and also SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY NOT A DESTINATION.
