I always admire how people use phones that can connect to the internet. At any given moment if you go into government offices and tertiary institutions, almost everyone is on Facebook. The advent of social media has taken the country by storm and now more and more are starting to appreciate the microblogging site: Twitter.
As much as most status updates a re about personal feelings, what someone is doing, what someone saw or announcing an event, we have occasional lift me up like quotations from Bible, famous people and so forth.
However the power of social networks lie in the marketing potential. Imagine launching a product/service page on Facebook, getting your friends and friends of friends to like it. Then launching a blog to promote it and yourself and sharing the blog link on Tweeter, the FB Page and +1'd on Google+ (Google Social Network: http://plus.google.com). Web marketing at a click of the button! With the interaction of all these services it is enlightening to know that mobisites do not exist in vain. Mobile phones with GPRS (protocol for network) and WAP (Wireless Application Protocol - governs how mobile phones communicate with webservers online, compare to HTTP) makes this a very exhilarating experience.Innovative minds see an opportunity there. As time goes by i will launch a website www.kryptosweb.co.bw where web technology will be pushed to the limit. But it does not end there, as mentioned i intend to broaden my sights by also including mobisites so people can access my website anywhere as long as there is a mobile network. The beauty of internet and the web therein lies in the limitless possibilities...
